NANoREG framework for the safety assessment of nanomaterials published!

A few weeks ago, in April 2017, the NANoREG consortium published the NANoREG framework for the safety assessment of nanomaterials. It is one of the main outcomes from the NanoREG project, apart from all the results that are now available and free for everybody on the website of the project.

The NANoREG framework addresses the need to ease the nanomaterials safety assessment in the REACH Regulation context. It offers forward-looking strategies: Safe-by-Design, a Nanospecific Prioritisation and Risk Assessment, and Life Cycle Assessment. It is intended for scientific experts, regulatory authorities and industry. Hopefully, this will be translated in the near future into a “nanoregulation”.
