Lebanon innovate: Revitalizing Lebanon’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and productive sectors.

On March 8th, the presentation ceremony of the Lebanon Innovate project took place at the Smallville Hotel in Beirut, with the participation of Lea Polony, Program Director of the European Commission, Maroun Chammas, President and CEO of Berytech, Krystel Khalil, Program Director of Berytech, and representatives of the partners of the program: Aurelien Baudoin, Director of Networks and Development at ANIMA; Florian Sora, Director of Certification and Impact at EBN; Sergio Ibanez, Director of New Markets at Leitat; Sandra Sarkis, Director of Lebanon Softshore at IRI, and Fabienne Balaa, Executive Director of IRALEB.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Lebanon Innovate Program aims at supporting the transformation of innovations and technological findings emerging from universities into market-ready products and commercial ventures to boost the Lebanese productive sectors.

Lebanon Innovate is a 42-month program funded by the European Union to revitalize the Lebanese entrepreneurial ecosystem and the productive sectors. The program, based on an innovation roadmap, fosters innovation through supporting Intellectual Property (IP) and knowledge transfer allowing the country to become a knowledge-driven digital nation at the front end of innovation.
