Kick-Off of CONNECT hosted by Infineon: towards a connected, efficient and secure smart grid

On the 16th and 17th of May 2017, the CONNECT consortium met for the first time in facilities of Infineon in Neubiberg (Germany) to launch the project. CONNECT will develop innovative smart components, modules and appliances for a truly connected, efficient and secure smart grid with the support of the ECSEL Joint Undertaking.

In this project, LEITAT will develop a secure smartmeter, together with PV model, which is able to determine the status of a determined PV source. In addition, LEITAT will integrate it into real time power consumption and energy generation monitoring system; finally LEITAT will contribute to the validation of its developed components as well as the integration systems.

The project will last during 3 years and gathers 19 partners from 5 countries. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 737434.
