ALISE 24M meeting in Oxford hosted by Oxis Energy: LiS batteries for cars

From the 10th to the 11th of May 2017, the ALISE consortium met in the Oxis headquarters in Oxford (Abingdon) for their 24M meeting. The members discussed the progress made during the last 6 months and assessed the mid-term results of the project.

The ALISE project focuses on the development and commercial scale-up of new materials and on the understanding of the electrochemical processes involved in the lithium sulphur technology. The objective is to integrate a lithium sulphur battery into a car from SEAT.

The discussions concentrated on the cathode and anode development of the battery as well as the separator to reach a 500 Wh/Kg stable LiS cell.
