ABSTRACT
The objective of the project is to obtain components and pieces of high efficiency and productivity for tooling structures of transport systems, especially of the railway world, combining on its production aluminium and polymeric materials with advanced thermal properties, additive manufacturing techniques and finishing post-processes in order to achieve a lower weight and a lower cost of transport.
Achieving this goal will be measured by comparing the performance and the properties of the structures that will be produced with the current ones, in terms of cycle time, quality of the produced parts, durability, etc.
