Review of Hispack 2018: Towards Truly Sustainable Packaging

Reviewing the Hispack 2018 fair, it was a great opportunity to make new contacts in the field of packaging, presenting but also discovering new technological developments. Sustainability was at the center of the discussions. Packaging is evolving and needs to be more and more sustainable but it is not as easy as it seems. It is important to look at the entire picture and take into account the entire life cycle of the packaging. To achieve this goal, the “ECO” dimension needs to disappear as it should be since the very beginning by integrating it in the root design of each product.
