LEITAT @ workshop on Nanotechnology, Risk Control and Legislation

The workshop on Nanotechnology, risk control and legislation organized by the Spanish association of chemical industry (FEIQUE), was introduced by Dr. Vincent JAMIER (Leitat) through the talk entitled “Nanotecnología y el concepto safe-by-design” (Nanotechnology and the concept Safe-by-design). The workshop aims to give an overview of the current status of nanomaterials in the European Union, from the point of view of legislation in different industrial sectors. The event has taken place in Madrid the 23rd of October 2013.
During that day, an overview of the obligations and industry voluntary initiatives that are carried out in companies to ensure protection of human health and the environment will be given by various speakers such as Jose Maria Navas (from INIA), Dagoberto Schmidt-Mata (from BASF), Carmen Esteban (from STANPA) and Blanca Serrano (from FEIQUE).
