Genesis project meeting: first promising results on IPOSS and MOF membranes

On the 26th and 27th of November, the consortium of the Genesis project met in Enschede for their 12 month meeting. The event was hosted by the University of Twente. Work pacakage leaders presented the progress made in the first year of the project, which was mostly dedicated to the definition of physical, chemical and operational requirements and to the development of materials for pre-and post-combustion processes.

GENESIS develops and upscales some of the most promising material for CO2 capture and demonstrate their performance, durability and reliability in industrial environments. The materials are IPOSS (polyPOSSimide hybrid organic-inorganic) and MOF (Metal-organic framework) membrane systems that have demonstrated great performances for CO2 capture.
