Environmental Sensors for Energy Efficiency: 6th meeting in Barcelona

Environmental Sensors for Energy Efficiency meetingThe ESEE project developing environmental sensors for energy efficiency hold its 6th meeting in Barcelona on the 23rd and 24th of November 2015. The objective of the project is to have reliable data for energy efficient conditioning of the air in the environment. The intended implementation is with locally installed sensors, connected via a sensor grid together and to a management system for the air quality. The project targets two application areas, namely air quality monitoring in aircrafts cabins and HVAC systems in buildings. Indoor air quality is crucial for the well-being of the people inside of it.

The consortium discussed the progress made in different work packages such as sensor systems and network solutions available. During the second day, the partners had a workshop and discussed the details of the final demonstrator. Furthermore, a benchmarking of targets and a comparison of the results achieved witht the state-of-the-art has been done.
