The IAM 3D HUB reaches a new milestone: its facilities, successfully inaugurated
The kick-off of the IAM 3D HUB was attended by the Major of Terrassa (Mr. Alfredo Vega), the Secretary of State for the Information Society and Digital Agenda from the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda (Mr. José MarÃa Lassalle), the Head of Connected Industry area from the General Secretary of Industry and SME (Mr. Luis M. Suárez), the Secretary of Enterprise and Competitiveness from the Generalitat of Catalonia (Mr. Joan Aregio), the President of the IAM 3D HUB (Mr. Ramon Pastor) and the President of LEITAT (Mr. Jordi William Carnes).
Over 150 attendees from a wide range of institutions and companies participated in the inauguration that took place on May 25th at the facilities of the IAM 3D HUB in LEITAT’s headquarters. They all had the opportunity to know more about the first Digital Innovation Hub in 3D printing in Europe and to understand its goal: to accelerate the adoption and development of additive manufacturing in Europe, as an alternative way to design, develop and manufacture more competitive products.
The kick off finished with a guided tour to the IAM 3D HUB facilities, where the attendees had the opportunity to visit the team and equipment that the hub uses for its purposes.
