LEITAT takes part to MEASURE Initiative under SPIRE

SPIRE (the Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and energy Efficiency) is a Public/Private Partnership (PPP) initiative driven by the European Process Industry and fully aligned with the European Strategy 2020 agenda. Measure is a project under this program and brings together leading European process industries in chemistry, consumer goods, steel, automotive and waste with academic experts on sustainability assessment, regulators and standardization bodies working on this ambitious goal.

The 15-months-project, started on January 2015, is focused on identification of the best practice in alternative strategies of industrial symbiosis. The outcome of the project MEASURE will be a roadmap that highlights life cycle based on evaluation approaches. It supports a sustainable supply chain management including the cooperation between manufacturers and cross-sectorial co-product by recycle and re-use.

As associated partner of the consortium (composed by important academies and multinational industries), LEITAT will be the advisory expert.
